A
guide to making that special day memorable
In
planning the funeral, we are making important decisions on
the worst day of our lives. How can my Funeral Director
help me?
There
is usually much to arrange in a relatively short space of time.
Everyone wants everything to be just right,
and an everlasting
memory.
B.J.
Brady Funeral Directors pledge to do everything in their power
to help you achieve this, we will walk with
you, in your
decisions and suggestions.
Some
of the most common requests
that we receive from families are as follows:
Photos & Memorabilia
can be placed on to of the coffin during the service,
to remind family of happier times.
Music
is often an expression of the Spirit. We are happy
to play selected hymns,
poetry, or music on CD during the service, and at the committal.
Balloons
are an excellent release of emotion. It takes our focus of
looking down, to looking up, and realising the homecoming
of a loved one. This is effectively done amidst selected music.
Eulogy
presentations and reflections from family and or close friends
put us all in touch with the
life
of the
deceased.
It really personalises the funeral service.
Viewing
of your loved one is very private and personal decision.
B.J. Brady Funeral Directors would never influence
one way or another your decision, however, a viewing can
be a tremendous
benefit and a lasting memory, offering strength
and security to family and close friends. Our trained staff
offer support
and reassurance should you wish to avail yourself
to say your final goodbye.
Placements
of articles and-messages in the coffin, can be
included at the viewing, alternatively, if this is not possible,
our staff will make placements on your behalf.
A
Powerpoint photo presentation accompanied to selected music,
and recording
of the funeral service can be arranged at your
request. This is a fitting and memorable way to express publicly,
the life of your loved one.
Pallbearers,
have the highest honour of carrying the coffin either into
the Church, Crematorium,
Chapel or to Graveside.
The family
would usually carefully select six people to carry out
this important duty.
Returned
Services, Veterans and Service Organizations - We regularly
liaise with these and other organizations
to
have
them involved,
at the families request.
Your
suggestions and wishes are important to us, we will
work with you to create an everlasting memory.
